The Prime Minister’s Office (Perdana Putra) is located in the heart of Putrajaya itself, the building sits on a hill overlooking the main boulevard, announcing its presence as the administration centre of Malaysia. Working closely with the Prime Minister then, we had developed a design which is Timeless, a building that would be admired for generations to come. The building was designed with unification of both Classical and Vernacular Architecture, from the symmetrical courtyard planning to the pitched green copper roofs. Islamic characters were designed in very much detail to portray the Islamic values which have guided the country. The green dome which sits in the centre above the Prime Minister’s office reminds whoever is in power that there will always be God above them.
