FIRST PRIZE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN COMPETITION 2003
To create an Icon, which in future shall be identifiable as a symbol of the City of Khartoum and Sudan’s success as a nation. The proposed building silhouette are easily identifiable as a typical mud towers found in and around Sudan’s rural areas, that rises from the desert landscape. The proposed complex composition illustrates several of these towers sprouting from the ground, with the main iconic tower rising from a sunken desert wadi, which symbolizes life and success.
